Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 Announces All-Vietnamese Winners
The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022, which owns Vietnam’s most beautiful heritage track, took place safely with a great success. The race was warmly welcomed by Ha Long residents and thousands of tourists who visited and enjoyed the beauty of the Ha Long Bay, the World Natural Heritage, at November 11-13 weekend.
The prize award ceremony was joined by Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Ninh province and representatives of the city's departments and agencies, who attended and cheered for the event.
Thanks to the professional preparation plus ideal weather and natural conditions of Ha Long, the race has brought runners many beautiful experiences with unforgettable moments about the scenery natural landscape of the beautiful Ha Long Bay.
The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 has attracted the registration of around 6,000 runners. With nearly 1,200 runners coming from 42 countries and territories, the marathon once again affirms its position as a highly internationalized race and a unique sports and tourist product of Quang Ninh province.
The marathon’s track is designed completely new, passing through many iconic landmarks of Quang Ninh province, especially Ha Long city. This is a great way to promote the beautiful, dynamic coastal city that is constantly innovating to become more and more attractive to domestic and foreign tourists.
Arrived not only for the race, runners also brought family and friends to enjoy happy weekends together, mixing the love of sports with the love of couples and family. That is why the couple of Vu Quang and Minh Nguyet from Hanoi decided to walk together on the heritage track of the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon to celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary. Besides, many parents choose to let the whole family be happy hand in hand on the running tracks with the cool taste of the coastal city.
In the final results, in the men's Full Marathon (42.195 km) category, runner Dang Anh Quyet was crowned with 2:45:48, while the second place belonged to Trinh Dinh An (2:46:31) and Do Van Hoang came third with 2:46:45.
In the women's FM marathon category, runner Thai Thi Hong won the championship with 3:21:13. The second place was seized by Hoang Thi Hong Uyen (3:27:45) while the third place belonged to Nguyen Thi Tra Giang (3:30:45).
In addition, BTC also awarded prizes in Half Marathon (21.097 km), 10 km and 5 km categories (As per the list below).
